Pho Tan (Main Street)

Originally wanting to pay a second visit to Long’s Noodle House, which was coincidentally on the same street, I went to Pho Tan instead. For some reason, many joints seem to choose Tuesday out of all days in the week to close! Oh well, Pho Tan turned out to be a pleasant visit in itself. Greeted with a friendly demeanor, the owner sat us down promptly.

I ordered Grilled Chicken with Shredded Pork and a Spring Roll on vermicelli (8.00). The salad portion was nicely pickled and had quite the tangy flavour to it. The Lemongrass chicken was fantastic as not only was it juicy, it had a light crispiness to the exterior. The spring roll was very hot and crispy and had a pleasant sweetness to it.

Good:

-Good value for portion size

-Very well executed

-Prompt, attentive service

Bad:

-Parking

Closing Comments: Out of all the Pho places I’ve been to, I think this one ties with Bao Chau on Hastings Street.

Overall Rating: 4.25 PBJ’s out of a possible 5
