No stall too small!
Primarily known as one of the publicly owned, Vancouver, golf courses, it boasts not only 18 holes and a driving range, but it has its own clubhouse where you can chill out and get a bite to eat as well! I should note right now that it’s a cafeteria style joint, where you order, pay, then sit somewhere and they bring it to you, not like a formal sit down joint.
First off, we have the clubhouse (10.99). Now what kind of patron wouldn’t go to a golf course’s clubhouse to try, what else, the clubhouse. This clubhouse wasn’t too good as it would have been better if they had used actual pieces of turkey instead of just slices of deli meat. That’s the defining difference, for me, between a good clubhouse and a bad clubhouse.
Thankfully, though, the Chicken Burger (9.99) was much more satisfying! The fries were very fresh and had a nice crispness to them. The bun was nicely toasted and also had a bit of a crunch to it, albeit at the cost of being a little heavy handed on the butter. The veggies in the sandwich were not only plentiful, but were very fresh too! The chicken itself was, surprisingly, chargrilled nicely having a distinct grilled flavour while still retaining a lot of its meaty juices.
-Terrific, enthusiastic service
-Nice scenery (the golf course, if you sit outside you can watch others at play)
-Chicken burger done nicely
-Not OVERLY expensive
-Clubhouse, tsk tsk
Closing Comments: I honestly wasn’t expecting much out of this place, but was pleasantly surprised, especially by the chicken burger! Kudos to them.
