Some say it’s always good to start the day with a big breakfast, as it’s the most important meal of the day. So, since I hadn’t had breakfast at White Spot in some time now, it will be the subject of today’s post.

I ordered the Nat’s Hearty Breakfast (10.49).

It comes with eggs (over easy here), sausage links, bacon, toast (french toast here), and “smash browns” (It’s like taking a hammer to a potato then baking the smashed remnant.
The eggs were nice and goopy, though not to the point they were undercooked, just the way I like them. The sausage links were pretty standard, in that if you went to Denny’s, you’d get the same kind. I did enjoy the bacon though, as it was fairly thick and crunchy! The smashbrowns were pretty interesting looking, in a bad way, though they ended up tasting pretty good; might even like them better than pan fries now. The french toast was done well, though I should not have ordered the topping that came with it (I’ll get to why in a moment…)

The topping was pretty gross. I mean it’s a dollar more, but tastes like watery strawberry soup (probably from reheating the frozen stuff). Even the McDonalds strawberry topping on the sundae is better than this!
Good:
-Smashbrowns are an interesting concept
-Filling breakfast
-Nicely done bacon
Bad:
-Nasty strawberry topping for french toast (just eat it plain!)
Closing Comments: Everything’s good, just avoid the strawberry, or any other topping, for french toast.
